Organization to Know: Climate Reality Project
The climate crisis is one of the largest and most daunting challenges we face. It is a global problem that is affected by almost everything humans do, which makes it difficult for people to figure out exactly what we can do to solve it. Fortunately, there are a lot of organizations out there working on this issue. They are organizing people around the globe, creating actions people can take to bring about real solutions.

One of these, The Climate Reality Project, is doing amazing work going up against oil and coal-industry funded “climate deniers.” Founded by former Vice President Al Gore, the Climate Reality Project is based on two simple things: the climate crisis is real and we know how to solve it.
One of their current campaigns is being spearheaded by a youth activist, high school student Corey Husic. He started a petition asking the Heartland Institute to “cease and desist” creating a high school science curriculum that claims that the science of climate change isn’t settled and that we don’t know that human activities are causing climate change. Of course the science on this matter is settled, but the people who profit from the burning of fossil fuels are attempting to confuse the issue.
