We couldn't be more excited for our TENTH summer of YEA Camp!
Why? Because we get to spend our summers with the best teenagers on the planet: people who actually care about making our world a better place and want to learn how to make an even bigger difference.
And OMG we have so much fun!
Whether you care about racism, climate change, bullying, homelessness, animal cruelty, women's rights, gay rights, gun control, police brutality, all of the above, or another important issue, YEA Camp will help you bring about change on a cause you care about.
Our week-long overnight youth camps are for 12-17 year-olds who want to make the world a better place. YEA Camp is a life-changing camp for world-changing teens!
YEA Camp is for you if you:
- See so many problems in our world and want help figuring out what to do about them.
- Want to meet more people your age who are as awesome and compassionate about making a difference in the world as you are.
- Are looking to build your confidence so you can speak up effectively and get more active on a cause you care about.
- Are willing to get outside your comfort zone so you can get training that will help you become a better leader.
- Wouldn't mind having one of the best experiences of your life.
East Coast: Charlton, MA July 14-21
Our Massachusetts venue for 5 incredible summers, Nature's Classroom is beautiful and modern, with dorm-style rooms for 4-6 people each, all with their own bathroom.
Located just an hour outside of Boston and 3 hours from Manhattan, this venue is conveniently located, while also having beautiful hiking trails to enjoy outdoor time during the summer.
West Coast: Idyllwild, CA August 4-11
Our California camp this summer will be held at Buckhorn Camp in the stunning town of Idyllwild. This more traditional camp venue is in the San Jacinto mountains and is more spacious than our previous California locations. Cabin-style rooms have bunk beds for 6-12 people.
Our California venue is about 2 hours each from Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, and about 8 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area. (Camp starts and ends on the weekend, so there shouldn't be traffic!)
Our camps have all the basic amenities you are used to at home, like electricity and regular indoor bathrooms -- but, unlike home, they also have bunk beds filled with some of your future best friends!
If you're not sure which session you want to join us at, you can always register now and transfer to a different one at a later date for no fee.
Note: We won't be holding our youth camp in New York this summer, but instead offering our first ever YEA Camp for Adults there! We will update you on that shortly!
The all-inclusive tuition for YEA Camp’s life-changing leadership camp is $1,600.
We are offering an early bird tuition of $100 off -- so $1,500 -- through December 31.
Included in the cost of tuition is:
Comfortable cabin lodging at our beautiful venue.
Nutritious mostly organic vegan food (3 meals a day, 2 healthy snacks, and dessert!) prepared by incredible chefs.
Highly experienced adult staff supervision and teaching at a phenomenal camper-to-staff-ratio of roughly 3:1.
Inclusion in our post-camp follow-up community of like-minded peers and staff to be able to support campers long after the summer is over.
Opportunities after camp to learn of relevant grants, scholarships, and events that we find out about, and to join our organization's projects.
Leadership experience that many of our campers focus on in college applications.
Increased confidence, direction, and purpose that many of our campers tell us has made a difference for them even years later.
Payment Plans and Financial Aid
Youth Empowered Action Camp offers convenient payment plans to make monthly payments toward your tuition. This option can be selected once the camper registers and the parent or guardian goes to make their payment.
Unlike most specialty camps, YEA Camp offers financial aid for low-income youth who have not attended YEA Camp before and would not otherwise be able to afford to attend. If your family would need financial aid to attend, review our financial aid protocol and then have the camper register at the “Register” page, at which point the parent or guardian will be directed to the Financial Aid application.
YEA Camp is a nonprofit organization committed to social justice and diversity in our programs. We do not turn eager campers away due to lack of funds. In order to accept campers on scholarship, we rely on an honor code to ensure that each family pays what they can and that funding is available for those who need it. We rely on tax-deductible donations to our scholarship program to continue this policy.
Thanks so much for your interest in YEA Camp! We hope to see you this summer!
