YEA Camp is a nonprofit and it’s all about teens taking action on what they care about, so when a camper wants to come to camp on a scholarship, we ask them to do some fundraising towards their tuition. Fundraising is an important activism skill, and we find that those who fundraise tend to value their experience of attending camp. Check out some of our amazing future campers, read their inspiring stories, and see why they want to attend YEA Camp. If you want to support a young person in pursuing their dreams of making the world a better place, consider a contribution to these young changemaker’s scholarship funds to attend YEA Camp.
Andrew’s Fundraising Page “A cause that is extremely important to me is animal rights. Throughout my work, it has been my goal to teach people to respect animals, and treat them as living individuals as opposed to objects. I’ve worked so hard on this issue, and when I saw a camp that can help me to develop my skills even broader, I knew that I had to attend.”
Sage’s Fundraising Page “Going to YEA camp, I wish to learn ways I can educate others about factory farms and slaughterhouses and in turn, change the world! Thank you for your donation, every dollar counts!
If we stand together, we can make a difference!”
Gina’s Fundraising Page “My goal is to help end modern day slavery. By attending Youth Empowered Action Camp this summer I hope to pursue my passion with other driven, like minded, and ambitious teenagers my age in an environment where the main goal is to tackle some of the biggest issues facing the world. When I would return from attending YEA, my knowledge, skills, and confidence will have grown and I will be able to better advocate the horrific reality of human trafficking and bring about real change.”
Vivien’s Fundraising page “Please help me in my journey of spreading awareness for human trafficking all through out our community, because if we start small together, we WILL get somewhere and attain justice.”
Oliver’s Fundraising Page “By making this page, I have the hopes to be able to attend YEA camp this summer in Massachusetts in August. I want to make a difference in the world. I want to make it so transphobia and homophobia are less and less prevalent in society, starting with my high school.”

Lily’s Fundraising Page “I want to attend YEA to have the support of the YEA staff to help me express and inform people about animal rights/cruelty, and the problems affecting our environment.”
Paulina’s Fundraising Page “Growing up, I was surrounded by hate and abuse towards members of the LGBTQ community. This taught me from an early age what is wrong and what is right and how important it is to stand up for what you believe in. I am a strong supporter of equality and I want to make sure everyone is treated equally. I want to attend YEA Camp this year so that I can learn first hand how I can make a difference.”
Samantha’s Fundraising Page “I recently found out about YEA camp, and knew right away this was for me. I have always been a person who chooses to step up when I learn of injustices that I feel I might be able to make a difference on.”
Lora’s Fundraising Page “YEA Camp is designed for teens who want to gain leadership skills and make a difference in the world. At YEA Camp, campers build knowledge, skills, and confidence to be leaders for social change in a community of caring staff and like-minded peers. I appreciate your support!”
Alanna’s Fundraising Page “I want to go to the YEA Camp so I can make a difference in the world and so EVERYONE can have justice! Animals, plants, the Earth and all humans! I am 12 years old, and I stand up against animal testing, bullying, pollution and animal cruelty.”
Charleen’s Fundraising Page “I feel like parents and kids should have the freedom to choose a school based on their or their child’s needs. Not their home address or finacial state. I want to be able to attend YEA camp so that I can learn how to effectively advocate for this issue. I want to be able to make a difference, and I feel like this camp would allow me to make great strides in achieving this goal.”
Ashley’s Fundraising Page “I want to become a leader and make a stand against bullying and discrimination and I need all the help I can get! Thank you so much for your help.”
Jeffrey’s Fundraising Page “Unlike some I am not one to stand back and and watch the world pass me by! I like to take action and make a difference in the world and YEA camp is just the place to create plan of action to make an impact on issues you care about! And this summer I am trying to raise money so that I can attend such a wonderful camp!”
Angela’s Fundraising Page “I would like to get many things out of my attendance to YEA Camp, but most of all I would like to get the knowledge of how to be a part of the world and take a stand.”
Katlyn’s fundraising page “I want to go to YEA camp this summer to help support my passion towards teen suicide prevention and depression awareness.”
