Each YEA Camp follows a flow in which each day builds on the ones before as we move to fulfill on our overall intention: for campers to build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to make a difference on issues they care about for years to come. That’s a big intention for a week, but we fulfill it!
Average Day:
While each YEA Camp is unique, based on the skills and talents of the staff, the interests and experience of our campers, and the venue and length of camp, this rough daily schedule might help you picture what camp is like.
Note that YEA Camp has 4 areas of focus to support our campers in being effective on their issue of importance (IOI), and these are labeled for each activity: building knowledge (K), skills (S), confidence (CN) and community (CM). Camp is also FUN! Stuff that is just pure fun tends to be a CM.
